Kevin Hunter, MBA

President, CEO

Kevin Hunter has over 20 years experience in operations improvement efforts at some of the nation's largest health systems and academic medical centers. Specifically, Mr. Hunter has implemented multimillion-dollar laboratories for numerous hospital systems, physician practice management companies, and large physician groups with profit margins more than twice the industry average. A significant portion of Mr. Hunter's lab and healthcare work has been completed for hospitals, health systems, and commercial labs in situations in which rapid improvement was critical, and he has provided interim leadership and service in coaching and mentoring roles for a number of large labs across the country.

Prior to Hunter Consulting's merging with L Small Associates to create Colaborate, Mr. Hunter was President and CEO of the former. Previously, he served as a Director for Navigant Consulting. During his tenure, Mr. Hunter identified and directed the acquisition of The Hunter Group and assisted in the integration of the firm. Mr. Hunter also developed and led the laboratory consulting division of Navigant Consulting.

Mr. Hunter served as Senior Vice President of Group Practice Services, a laboratory management services company for large physician groups, hospitals, and practice management companies. Mr. Hunter designed, implemented, consolidated, and managed clinical labs to improve quality of care, increase operating efficiencies, and generate additional revenue opportunities.

Before joining Group Practice Services, Mr. Hunter was Florida District Business Manager for MetPath/ Corning Clinical Laboratories (now Quest Diagnostics). During his tenure, Mr. Hunter directed Quest's Florida District's assimilation and consolidation of three acquisitions with diverse corporate cultures and incompatible information systems. Under Mr. Hunter's direction, Quest's Florida District operation grew from $6 million to greater than $90 million in annual revenues.

Mr. Hunter holds an MBA from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business Administration.
